The lilly-filled lotus pond between the wildflower and display gardens was as peaceful for its zen-like qualities as the Blueberry Pond, tucked away near the edge of the woods, was for its seclusion. The scent is incredible, and since I'm already admitting how much I enjoyed my trip to a tea room, I might as well admit this, too.

Seriously, if you go to the Holden Arboretum, find the dwarf summersweet near the gazebo in the rhododendron garden, then stop and breathe deeply. While I'm still a little reluctant to admit how much I enjoyed my visit to Reminisce Team Room, I have no such reservations in saying how much I enjoyed my stroll through the Holden Arboretum, a 600-acre botanical garden just down the road from the most prim and proper place I've ever eaten lunch. And whether I wanted to admit it or not, I was enjoying it. So there I sat on a sunny day in northeast Ohio, not just sipping my orange vanilla tea, but refilling my cup and drinking in the relaxing atmosphere. Then again, I couldn't have imagined five years ago that I would have a mortgage, two cats and a travel column. I never wanted to become that guy, and I don't even like tea. KIRTLAND, Ohio - If you had told me five years ago that I would spend a perfectly good summer Friday afternoon sipping tea in a quaint, little cafe with fine china and linen napkins, while classical music plays softly in the background, I never would have believed you.
